Volunteering for Gingerbread

The Gingerbread Centre are always looking for volunteers and volunteer fundraisers to support our work and help us raise as much funding as possible.

Why volunteer?

Gingerbread is a warm, friendly charity that works closely with the families that live there. We strive to improve their life and are able to see the benefits of support on a daily basis. You have the chance to experience and contribute to this!

Your support has the potential to make a huge difference. It can positively impact on parents and children and your work will cross the generational gap and leave a lasting impression on both them and you.

Volunteering is a fantastic experience, as is the thrill of helping people. It also gives you the opportunity to build a background in this field should you want to pursue a career in any number of jobs.

How you can help…

We offer lots of avenues of support and after meeting with you, we will place you in an area that best uses your skills and experiences to support our families and make you’re volunteering a positive experience.

There are a variety of ways you can volunteer to help the Gingerbread Centre including mentoring, getting involved with our social enterprise work, teaching/training our residents a skill or becoming a fundraising volunteer. The Gingerbread Centre are always looking for people to get involved and volunteering means having fun whilst making a positive impact on the charity.
