Talking to Gingerbread
The conX project has been designed to allow the use of multi and social media technologies to maximise communication between the charity and all sectors of the community supporting homeless clients.
The social media hub is part of the platform to enable us to more effectively engage and support existing volunteers, service users and partner community groups to whom we signpost the people we support in helping them to move on and support themselves.
We aim to utilise support links such as blogs, nanocasts, education forums and social media channels.
The community gateway maximises new communication technology and social media options that enable more effective communication between the charity and all sectors of the community supporting homeless clients.
Direct feedback from service users and project volunteers through our volunteer group meetings has indicated their desire to communicate with the charity using a more interactive web facility linked to social media with more visual presentation of information and support.
The project continually strives for more effective communication links established between clients and the Gingerbread staff. We also aim for more effective virtual, communication links with partner support agencies and more effective engagement to clients who are homeless or at risk through social media networks, providing flexible virtual support in a safe and protected data environment.
