Relief Worker

Rothesay Court & Catherine Court


Description:
We are looking for Relief Workers to cover annual leave and sick leave,
at Rothesay Court and Catherine Court.

The Relief Worker role has a zero hour contract, and is required to cover the positions of Evening & Weekend Support Practitioner and Night Support Worker as needed.

Overviews
Evening & Weekend Support Practitioner Overview: 
You will welcome any new admissions who arrive during your shift.  You will encourage independence whilst providing background support and support with routines and life skills.

Night Support Worker Overview: You will provide a warm, friendly and responsive overnight service with responsibility for maintaining the safety, well-being and security of all service user's and the building overnight.

Your main duties will involve; reception cover, health and safety checks of the building, security of the building, including; monitoring those entering or leaving the building.  You will offer practical advice to service users, respond to emergencies and refer to other agencies where necessary.

You will need:

  • to act as a positive role model to others
  • to be IT literate with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • to have excellent communication skills
  • to have excellent record-keeping
  • knowledge of homelessness issues

Desirable:

  • an NVQ Level II in a relevant area

Salary:
£10.90 per hour

Hours of Work:
0-Hour Contact.
To cover annual leave and sick leave as required.
