Marcus Asbury, Phil Eccelstone & Alan Lewis Support Gingerbread's New Running and Adventure Club

On the 7th of November Gingerbread are calling all athletes to the lauch of our running and adventure club.

Athletes of all standard can come along to learn more about the charity and meet our panel of experts.

Marcus asbury

Part of Team GB at the 1992 Barcelona Paralympic Games as a wheelchair Track athlete, setting a British record.

Bronze medalist (400m) at the 1994 World Athletic Championships in Berlin,

Currently competes as a handcyclist as part of British Cycling’s programme and is ranked in the top 5 in the UK

 

Phil Eccelstone

One ordinary man who has ran and won some of the world’s toughest endurance events and Hill Runners Race Organiser!

A 2:30 Marathon runner has also successfully run Lands End to John O’Groats completing 2 marathons each day, finished 130 mile non-stop ultra-races and completed over 100 marathons and counting.

Alan Lewis

Team GB Triathlete who finished 11th at the World Triathlon Championships Also an Ironman finisher and marathon runner.

Long distance cyclist – 356 miles in 24 hours

London to Edinburgh in 2 days covering 443 miles.
