Housekeeper / Maintenance Worker

Description:
Do you have high cleaning standards, enjoy decorating and have plumbing or electrical experience?
If the answer is ‘yes’, you’re the person we are looking for.

Mainly based in Hanley, your main tasks will be to carry out the cleaning and general maintenance of the offices and residents’ communal areas, and the cleaning/decorating/preparing of empty properties ready for new tenants.  You will also be required to move furniture.

You will maintain the gardens and ensure the Health and Safety of the building including; fire safety checks & PAT testing of electrical items.

You will value diversity and be considerate of our residents' circumstances.  You will enjoy working in a small team, in a busy and varied environment.  Additional hours may be required to cover annual leave, sickness and for busy periods.

A current full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle covered by business use insurance is essential.

*Please note that the Housekeeper / Maintenance Worker vacancy is one post, covering both of these roles.*

Salary: £14,035.84 per annum
Hourly rate: £9.64

 

Hours of Work:
28 hours per week on a rota system.
These hours are to be worked as follows:

  • Monday to Thursday, 8:30am to 1:30pm at Catherine Court
  • Friday, 8.30am to 5:00pm at Rothesay Court

Senior Family Practitioner

Description:

Join our team of staff at The Gingerbread Centre.  An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Family Practitioner who will lead and supervise a team of staff and work in the best interests of the family’s we support.

We are looking for someone who is decisive, well organised and can clearly and concisely communicate goals and tasks.

The successful applicant will have a minimum of Health and Social Care Level 3 or equivalent and a minimum of Level 3 Safeguarding.

As a member of the Management Team, the Senior Family Practitioner will have a specific responsibility for managing our supported accommodation provision in the absence of the service manager.  You will support and liaise with the service manager in the day to day operation of the accommodation.

Your main work will be based at Rothesay Court, but you may be required to work at other Gingerbread premises.

The successful applicant will have; knowledge and understanding of homelessness issues, an accurate level of record-keeping, excellent literacy and numeracy skills, sound knowledge of child care practices and safeguarding, and must be computer literate.

Hours of Work:
37 Hours, Monday to Friday.

1 week Emergency On Call / Out of Hours Duty on a 4 week rolling rota.

Salary: £23,068.76 per annum
