Our Lady’s Catholic Academy in Fenton

Our Lady’s Catholic Academy in Fenton will be working with Gingerbread over the next year to raise money for our charity.

Biscuit attended the Upper school sports day yesterday where a collection was held raising £32.60. On July 6th the school will be holding a summer fair where a Gingerbread themed bake off will take place.

Each year group within the school will be working with Paul Deakin looking at homelessness, how to show compassion, the children’s stories regarding homelessness and how they can make a difference no matter how small.

After the summer holidays, 15 children from the whole school will be picked to create a piece of theatre, which will explore some of the themes already mentioned.

In the new academic year the pupils will continue to raise money through a sleepover, non-uniform days, sponsored bouncing and various other events yet to be decided.

Any other schools who wish to be considered for the project should contact Paul Deakin on 01782 215656.
